Dear all
i did a bat talk for Walsall University of the Third age group this week. There were 85 keen older people all enthusiastic still more learning and development and to ask me questions about bats including about the impact on the bats of the developments at Walsall Arboretum. This Victorian park is going to have a make over to bring it back to old glories i gather. from what i can find out several species of bats have been Id'd as feeding there but no roosts found. there have been surveys and more will be done and the work will progress sensitively.
More folks gave me bat records for which thanks.
I sadly learned of the death of one of our previous members whose widow came to tell me that he had passed away. With out the time in retirement to really get in to bats and bat work as he had hoped. RIP Alan Edwards.
