got bats! « Thread Started on Oct 23, 2009, 5:19pm »
Hi i have 2 currently, the one from the summer who does not fly well sadly and one collected recently in North Worcestershire by Ray. The bat is a Soprano pip, noisy, cross and smelly just like it should be! it also a hand feeder currently arghhhh! I have been peering at it's nose for the middle of the valley between the nostrils hump that should be there according to the workshop at conference, and if it would stop shouting and wriggling long enough for me to get a good look over the top of me specs in best middle aged style, i would swear it had the right sort of soprano bump! Those of you without age related long sightedness might like to look at the next soprano pip nose you encounter and check out the raised line down the middle. Morgan if you have the right sort of lens or indeed if any one does and thinks they can get a suitable shot to show the nose by all means get in touch and you can come and try to take a photos of the noses of the 2 bats to compare. i don't stand a chance with my camera!
